Successful planning applications were made to both Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC and the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority as the 20 acre site straddles both authority areas, and Planning was approved in 2010. With this go-ahead, construction is due to start on site around the middle of 2012.
Prior to submission there was a public exhibition over two days in Hirwaun, and one day in Rhigos, to inform the public of our proposals and to address any concerns that were raised.
We have now establised an Environmental Community Interest Company (CIC), and are inviting representatives from the local communities to help us administer the environmental benefits that Enviroparks will be bringing to those communities. The CIC will also provide a forum for communication between Enviroparks and the local communities, sustaining our company policy of open and honest communication.
