HGV access to the site is via the slip road alongside the Visitor Centre. This design feature ensures there is no on road queuing of vehicles.

The sustainable urban drainage scheme can be seen in front of the Visitor Centre. This includes reed beds which are a natural filter for further cleaning of rain water designated for processing. This helps reduce water consumption.

The 'green wall' running alongside 5th Avenue mitigates visual impact from the road. A 'green wall' consists of a series of suspended meshes up which plants are encouraged to grow.
